Quill & Mouse Studios, Inc. offers a broad range of products— basically any typesetting or design project can be tackled—to both local and national clients. Use the form on our Contact Us page to send us the details on a project you’relooking to do and we’ll work up a quote.
We mostly work with small to mid-sized businesses, providing professionally designed work at affordable rates. From logo design to complete corporate identity packages, we understand your needs and work to fulfill them. And though we began in the print arena, we expanded to provide clients with digital media as well.
Our typesetting projects span the spectrum—from a small one inch ad to a 350+ page book. Newsletters comprise the majority of our typesetting work. While we create newsletters for a wide range of clients, our two main lines are for specific markets throughout the United States. We have a line of custom newlsetters designed for automotive repair shops and, through our subsidiary Precision Marketing & Client Communications, we produce custom practice newsletters for medical professionals.
Business stationery projects include the basics—letterhead, envelopes, and business cards—but can also mean brochures, labels, postcards, and flyers. Print advertisements are another key piece of promotional material we produced. We’ve also created such diverse projects as restaurant menus, books, complex forms, and floor plans for trade shows. Below are just a few examples of our print work.
Business Stationery and Brochures
Here are just a few examples of business stationery sets and brochures we’ve created for some of our clients. Click on thumbnails to see a larger view.
Dr. Ettinger needed a complete identity kit, including name tags for his staff (not shown). While the stationery is printed on a light grey stock, his brochure is on glossy white to make the photos inside stand out the best.
For Advanced Instruments Hearing Aid Center, not only did they need the basic stationery set, but also a form for satisfied clients to share testimonials.
This 24-page, full color brochure was created for an international client who specializes in helping businesses get capital for their endeavors. They needed to cover a lot of information and present it in a high-end professional manner. It was up to us to select illustrations to use throughout the piece, breaking up the heavy text where we could.
We created this full color, three-panel brochure for an automotive facility’s collision service. It includes information about their services and staff, client testimonials, and a map to their location on the back panel.
This brochure was created for a lawyer who specialized in Workers’ Compensation law. It was created for him to use as a hand-out at events as well as to mail to prospective clients. The cover image was custom created for the client, featuring a wide range of occupations, with a scale superimposed over the top. This same image was featured on the client’s website as well.
For this dentist, we created an oversized, four-panel, full color brochure. This provides plenty of room for the office to list their services, give a bio on the dentist, discuss office policies, and include several patient testimonials.
This full color, bi-fold brochure was created for a retirement complex. Inside are photos showing the attractive rooms and detailing the medical services also available to residents. Although not noticeable in the graphic, this brochure has a lightly screened background to provide texture.
This full color hand-out was created as a “leave behind” piece for the regional rep of a national personal clothier company. The client wanted something more substantial than a business card, but more convenient to carry than full page flyers. The front, with the rep’s photo illustrates the company’s products, while the back uses bulleted sections to highlight the company, it’s services, and the rep’s qualifications.
Many of our medical clients use a “Care to Share” program to encourage patient/client referrals. To facilitate this program, we’ve created a variety of Care to Share cards that fold down to business card size and provide room for the name of the referring patient/client. Depending on their budget, clients can opt for a simple two-color card like the one on the right, a full color card like the one on the bottom, or a full color card that bleeds off the cover like the one on the left.
Postcards can be a very cost-effective way to promote your business or special event. We custom create postcards in a wide range of sizes, included 8.5x11 cards folded in half for mailing. Just remember oversized cards do not qualify for the lower postcard postage rate.

Advertisements, Flyers, and Miscellaneous Pieces
Many clients rely on us for more than basic business stationery. They may need things like advertisements for magazines or newspapers, flyers used as mail-outs or inserts, etc.. Here are a few examples. Click on the thumbnail for a larger view.
When we designed a new logo for a client to go with his new company name, the new identity was rolled out with a very large advertising campaign. We designed several magazine ads, some billboards, and a couple of huge banners that ran down the sides of buidlings. Here are just a few of the pieces.
After we designed a logo for this client, he wanted some “funny money” to give to his clients as coupons. He wanted them to look like actual bills, but we obviously altered them (a $10 bill became $11, a $20 became $22) and reduced their size, so they couldn’t be mistaken for the real thing. The new logo found a home on both sides of the piece. We left the appropriate president’s portrait, but used the ASE logo in place of the seal.
We’ve done a variety of things for this award-winning author. We started by redesigning her website. From there we created a full color, one-page flyer in a newsletter format which she could email as a PDF. She also printed copies as needed to pass out. When she arranged several booksignings, we created a series of flyers for promoting them.
We’ve been typesetting the books for this client almost as long as we’ve been in business. We started by designing their logo and stationery. Each year, we typeset the latest volumes of the Secrets collection. There have been two full-length novels as well. Now, on top of creating the artwork for all the 352-page print books, we’re creating eBooks (each in four formats: PDF, HTML, Mobi, and MS Reader). All the prior print books are being re-issued as eBooks, but the company now offers two to three new straight-to-eBook format novellas a month.
